Chandrayaan 3 Discovery: All you need to know is discussed here!

Chandrayaan Landed successfully on 23 August 2023. Till now the exploration is in progress and it is trying to achieve its goal and Chandrayaan 3 Discovery has revealed the presence of elements like sulfur, aluminum and oxygen etc and it is searching for hydrogen.

Chandrayaan 3 Discovery

Chandrayaan-3 is a follow-up mission to Chandrayaan-2 and it will report an end to end description. The  Chandrayaan -3 discovery till now has revealed the presence of sulfur and oxygen on the Moon. This mission will check the spectral and Polarimetric data, till now the outcomes are showing the presence of some vital elements on the south pole of the Moon. Chandrayaan is now discovering the presence of hydrogen on the south pole by analyzing the rocks and soil of the south pole of the Moon.

Chandrayaan-3 Exploration

The mission is analyzing the soil and the minerals that are present on the lunar surface. This expedition has not only revealed the presence of Sulphur and oxygen but also indicated other metals like iron, calcium, chromium, titanium, silicon etc .

Chandrayan 3 Objectives

The major objective of Chandrayaan 3 is to follow up on Chandrayaan 2 mission and to understand the composition of the Moon. This mission is to support the previous mission, ISRO has made significant changes to the Chandrayaan 3 so that it can achieve the goals in a better way. Chandrayaan has found the Sulfur and Oxygen on the Moon, now the next motive is to find Hydrogen on the Moon.

Chandrayan 3 Achievements & Highlights

Chandrayaan’s main mission was to find the possibility of water on Moon and till now Chandrayaan has identified the presence of many vital minerals on Moon surface including iron, calcium, titanium, oxygen, alumina, silicon etc. Now the next move is to find hydrogen on the Moon composition. It is expected by many scientists that if there is presence of hydrogen and oxygen then there could be chances of presence of water as well.

Chandrayaan 3 Pragyaan Expedition

Pragyaan has been designed in the way to execute the process to demonstrate closed loop evaluation of performance using actuators and sensors. The evaluation of the Lander Leg mechanism on a lunar simulator test bed was done to simulate various touch down scenarios. Pragyaan, which travels at a pace of 1 cm per second, is currently exploring the craters and rocks in search of vital information including composition and photographs that will be transmitted back to Earth for processing. Additionally, the six wheels’ embossed Isro brand insignia are making a mark on the Moon’s surface.

Chandrayaan 3 Exploration Journey

A lunar day, which began on Wednesday at the time of the landing and lasts for around four weeks on Earth, means that the lander and rover will have 14 days of sunshine to recharge their batteries. They will cease operating when darkness falls and discharge. It is still unclear if they will reanimate when the following lunar day begins.

The main intention of this space exploration is finding the water on the Moon. Although the expedition faced several challenges and problems, there are high chances that Chandrayaan will reveal never-seen-before secrets of Moon.

Chandrayaan 3 Modules for Expedition

Three indigenous modules make up Chandrayaan-3: a Lander Module (LM), a Propulsion Module (PM), and a Rover. ISRO claims that Lander incorporates a number of cutting-edge technology to help it accomplish its numerous mission objectives, including Laser-based inertial reference and accelerometer package for inertial measurement, RF and Laser based Timers, Lander Horizontal Velocity Camera etc.
