Life Certificate or Jeevan Pramaan Patra is an important document which is required to be submitted by the pensionaries each year. Govt has provided the facility to get the Pensioners life Certificate online from the official portal at https://jeevanpramaanpatra.gov.in/ which is required to submit between 1 to 30 November 2023.

The Department of pension and pensioners welfare has provided the benefit to submit the online Life certificate to the pensioners. To keep collecting their pension, all retirees must provide a Pensionaries life certification on an annual basis. The certificate submission window will open from today for individuals under the age of 80 years. There are roughly 69.76 lakh retirees from the central government who can take advantage of this.

The goal of DoPPW’s nationwide campaign is to raise awareness among all Central Government pensioners and the Pension Disbursing Authorities regarding the use of DLC/Face Authentication technology for the submission of Digital Life Certificates. The life certificate submission is important as a proof of physical existence of the pensioners and to declare that they are alive and availing the pension.
Jeevan Pramaan Patra Online Registration
The government pensioners have to submit the annual Life Certificate every year between 1 November 2023 to 30 November 2023 which is provided by Pension Disbursing Authorities, post office or bank to continue. Now, they can get it from the official portal of jeevanpramaanpatra.gov.in/.
Basically, the pensioner’s life certificate is a paper proof of physical existence of the pensioner that takes the responsibility that the pensioner is alive or not. This certificate is also known as Jeevan Pramaan Patra. The authorized pension distributors or other agencies like post offices or banks provide this certificate to eligible people and now it is a biometric enabled service for the pensioners.
How to register for Jeevan Pramaan Patra Online?
- Visit the official website www.jeevanpramaan.gov.in or open the application or Click on get a certificate option to download software from the website download software.
- Enter the required details in the given field such as name, bank account, email, type of pension etc.
- Scan your finger and iris for Adhar authentication and enter the account number.
- Wait for the confirmation message to appear of life certificate Registration Successful.
How to get a Digital Life Certificate using Aadhaar Authentication?
Pensioners can use a safe biometric authentication method based on Aadhaar and a software program to create a digital life certificate. The resulting Digital Life Certificate (DLC) is saved online for pensioners and PDA to access whenever needed. Their pensions could be suspended if they don’t submit this.

Pensioners Life Certificate Submission Last Date 2023
You can turn in a life certificate from November 1 through November 30. Additionally, the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare has permitted super senior citizens (those 80 years of age and older) to submit life certificates starting on October 1 rather than November 1. The deadline of November 30 is still in effect.
In 2019, the Center requested that banks permit senior pensioners who are 80 years of age or more to provide their life certificates starting on October 1st of each year, rather than November. In November, the remaining pensioners under the age of 80 are required to provide their life certificate.
Digital Life Certificate 2023
To get their monthly pension, pensioners must present a life certificate, also known as Jeevan Pramaan Patra, to pension-disbursing authorities (PDAs), including banks and post offices, in November. Pensioners can register and get their digital life certificate from the Jeevan Pramaan Patra portal. The validity of the Jeevan Pramaan Patra is twelve months from the date of its previous submission.
Previously people needed to visit the bank or post office or they needed to connect over the app but now they can utilize the Jeevan Pramaan Patra Portal for this. An older person can easily download their Pramaan ID. A retiree may present their life certificate, which is endorsed by a certified official, if they choose not to appear before the Pension Disbursing Agency (PDA).
